Hi! My name is Kevin Aoussou.

I was born in the Ivory Coast, I grew up in Charlotte, NC, and now I call Chicago home. I’m an alumni of the National Theater Institute (MATS ‘16), of Winthrop University (2018), and Northwestern University (MFA in Acting 2023). 

Who?

I’m an actor, producer, director, activist, researcher, collaborator, organizer, lover, dreamer, ruler breaker, reflector, forgiver, believer. 

I’m passionate about demystifying the creative process and finding the alignment of artist agency and collaborative endeavors.

WHERE?

I currently live in Chicago but I enjoy being a traveling artist having worked in North Carolina, Maine, Indiana, Pennsylvania, and Arizona.

My recent production credits include The Left Hand of Darkness (The Rogue Tuscon), Exit Strategy (Northwestern University), Routes (Remy Bumppo), Marisol (Northwestern University), The Light (Northwestern University), and Ada and the Engine (Constellation Stage).

I was part of Arnold Warner Studios inaugural Teacher Training Lab, I have collaborated with StillPoint Theatre Collective on community out-reach programming. I’m also the founder of The Local Lab Co. an organization that emphasize Community, Collaboration, and Co-Liberation by developing new works in tandem with community experiences.
